Rip Rap Channels and Dry Creek Beds are both useful for armoring low areas that drain larger geographical areas. Rip rap is used when there is a larger volume of flow as the angular rock doesn’t wash out very easily. Dry creek beds are typically used when there is far less volume of water and a more attractive appearance is desired.
